Hello im new to the Wolrld editor ( kinda ) and i have 2 problems
First one is that i have created a loading socreen for my map which is converted to .tga format .
I imporrt it succesfully with the import manager and the i go to
Scenario - Map loading screen - Use imported file
Then it lets me choose between some files i've imported but only MDX foprmat
This is not normal since MDX is a model and thats not how its supposed to be ...
I tried closing WE and re-open it again but still nothing  only MDX's
Please if someoen knows how to fix this ...

My second problem is that i know how to import Model files ( MDX )
I imported about 5 or 6 times models and tehy worked perfectly ...
Next time i tried to import a model i did teh same thing and it didnt work ...
I tried closing WE and re-open it again but still nothing ...
I did it with another model to see if this is something about the models ...
Same thing no model showing
i just noticed tahtthe names of those models are finishing by .MDX not .mdx
Is this of any matter ?

Those are my two questions if someoen can answer ill be gartefull :nemor:

You know i just got taht i coulnt yet rep so ill try to rep you when i can

Use War3ModelEditor to create Loading Screens.

Run the program and go to Extras -> Loading Screen Creator
1. enter the path of your image, if it's not already .blp then
1.1 click generate to convert it (can be of any size, it's not supposed to be 512x512)
1.2 enter the path of the newly created .blp
2. save the model as .mdx, not .mdl
3. import both the .mdx and the .blp into your map
4. double click the .blp in the import manager, check the box and delete war3mapImported\
5. (maybe save and) go to the map's properties and to the loading screen settings and choose to use an imported file (your .mdx)

Hope this works, good luck! =)

I don't know what's wrong with your models, maybe they are just corrupt. Re-downloading could fix it, though I don't think so. ;)

This was done by importing a modified version of the model file for one of the original loading screens, as well as four TGA images, one for each corner of the screen. If you want a custom loading screen in your map, open the Import Manager and export the 'LoadingScreen.mdx' file, and the four 'LoadingScreen*.tga' files. You can then modify the image files and import them and the model file into your map. Make sure the image files are not under any directory. Finally, select your imported model in the Scenario->Map Loading Screen dialog.
from the original monolith map...hope it ans your question
----edit----
basically u need the .mdx file from monolith.
than cut your .tga files into quarters and rename their file path to follow what it done
finally u can use your .mdx file

I dont get it at all T_T
I used this method btw
Easiest thing to do use magos model editor do the loading screen creator then go to extras and choose loading screen creator next browse for the image u want... then generate it to a 512X512 after u finish the generating part browse for that image again only choose the one that is generated!!!
Next save onto ur desktop as it is
then use MDLX convertor and convert so it is in both mdl and mdx....
now go to WE import files thing...
Now heres what u import!!! the 2 loading screen as MDL and MDX then import the generated picture
after u have all 3 imported
edit the custom path for all 3 so it doesnt show WarcraftII =imported files or similar to that!!! now use ur custom imported screen
click the MDL one and see if that works if it doesnt then use the MDX it depends on my ocmputer sometimes so it could to yours too but i always go with the MDL files first... if that does not work then give me the Image that you would like and ill import the loading screen for you... HAVE FUN!!!

And it still didnt work

Now Epimeliad i just cant get waht you are saying ...
Do you mean i should take the mdxLoading Screen from Monolith so i can edit it ?
If that's so how can i edit it sinc no photo editing program opens such files ...
so basicliy i dont get what ur talking about ...
Could you clarify ... cos you know im stupid sometimes :cry::cry:

Hmm ... Did you rename the .blp after saving it/the .mdx? That would be wrong.

I try it the same way I described it again, let's see ...

[edit] It works, maybe you just made a fault.
1. Generate your .blp
2. Enter the path of your .blp
3. Save as .mdx
4. import both
5. delete the war3mapImported\ previous to whatever.blp
6. choose the LoadingScreen.mdx to be the loading screen

You just need the .mdx and the .blp!

I didnt ...
I retried again and AHHH TAHT HAS NO SENCE ...
Is ti a bother to you if i could send you the map and the blp and mdx things so you could make it since my computer seems to be the problem :cry::cry:
If you cant its ok ill just make it without a loading screen ...:cry:

well u import the mdxloadingScreen but dont touch it or edit it.
u edit only the .tga file tag by replacing it with your picture...keeping its dimensions and saving it in tga format.
import those 4 into your map, and use custom file path...key in the same file monolith used somethingTL.tga (i cant remember the exact file path but u can see from the monolith map)
finally go to the loading screen and use the mdx file...it should work=)
---ps if you really cannot do it send me your map and the image u want as loading screen and i do it for u.

Would have done it, too, sorry I haven't been around here. ;)

It seems a bit complicated to me to use 4 pictures, and it will increase the file size much more than just one picture, but you'll have a more detailed loading screen.

Did you browse the campaign screens, too? Some are also very pretty.

PM me when you're map is finished (if it's going to, mine takes years), I'd like to see it. =)

Stop

Guys Guys Guys stop killing each other......

The easiest way to creat a loading screen is using the we unlimited...

1. Download a tool section. World editor unlimited.
2. Install and start the enhancer
3. Go to edit map and open your map
4. Change tab to imported files
5. Tell the program which picture it shall use and let the prog do the rest.

Worked perfect for me...
