Lava Bubble Modell

Hello,
i need a modell some kind of this:

Doesnt have to a big modell. just a small one which might be animated and explode. (but slowly)

Or might you know which modell is also good to use for it plz tell me.

This may not help, but what I did for my lava map was took Blizzard's volcano and ctrl+page down all the way underground. Or in my case under the water level of the lava. The lava bubbles that shoot out the top look pretty decent. But I suppose if someone could make a real model that would be better.
