Hallo.

Well, I'm a map developer, but I've only recently started, and don't have lots of experience with scripting.

I'm working on two major projects right now, both of which are largely uncompleted.

My first is an RPG:

Island Heroes... It's more storyline based, so you're limited on character choice. You choose from 7 different mages, all based off a specific element, and strive to conquer the forces of evil and save the varying towns from destruction. You can create your own empire, but no powers are truely able to stand up to your own mage, who develops great powers as he/she levels up.

My other is what I call "War of the hackers"

The premise of this is that the way to defeat your opponents is by using text commands, called hacks, to enhance your army, weaken your enemies, and conquer everything else. I haven't done much with this map, because it is a very recent project of mine.

So that's about it. Thank you.

Welcome to The Hive Workshop!

Welcome Xesirin. Be sure to check out our Map Development Forum to promote your projects and get help with them.

The Hive includes many talented Warcraft III modders (map and resource editors) of all skill levels among its users. New members (especially friendly ones) are always welcome. Take a look around and enjoy your stay, may it be long and productive!

Some good places to start include:Searching the site using the above link always helps, you can learn a lot that way: just reading and learning is usually the best place to start, especially if one feels overwhelmed.

Likewise, the tutorials can really teach ALL of us a thing or two.

The chat room is cool: lots of people can answer questions there.
  • A few other tips that might help too:
    • Always search first! Did I already mention THAT?
    • When creating a new thread, make the title VERY specific: so the site's search engine (and we users) can easily understand just what the thread contains.
    • Post your new threads in the proper forum: read the descriptions of each one so that you know what to post there.
    • If all else fails, just send me a private message! I'll try to do whatever I can to help.

Please use cracker as proper name.
There is a great difference between crackers and hackers

Serra, that's because a cracker refers to a white person -.- lol
What do you want?
A hacker is a person that builds things and solves problems,
A cracker breaks things.

So if you want to make a map where multiple persons try to kill each other, the only (almost) proper name would be cracker. Espicially when they use backdoors and try to change the proram so that it does what they want
