[Solved] Just curious what does the /* */ do?

its basically like the // code for writing text but it instead creates a text block.

think of this /* as the start of text and this */ as the end

it is a very nice feature when trying to block out a large code block for testing.
Also it is used a lot in system headers for descriptions. check out one of my systems for an example.

Since everything between the /* and */ (inclusive) is deleted when compiled, you can use it for line breaks, to make your code more readable. Such as:

JASS:
if (something1 > 5 /*
    */ and something2 == 2 /*
    */ or something 3 != "hello") then
// ...
endif
