[Solved] Just curious what does the /* */ do?

Title ^^;; it's something new I noticed in JNGP - but I have no idea what it does lol.

its basically like the // code for writing text but it instead creates a text block.

think of this /* as the start of text and this */ as the end

it is a very nice feature when trying to block out a large code block for testing.
Also it is used a lot in system headers for descriptions. check out one of my systems for an example.

Most likely comments the section between the two pairs of marks (at least it does in C#, haven't touched WC3 for like 2 years now ^^)

Since everything between the /* and */ (inclusive) is deleted when compiled, you can use it for line breaks, to make your code more readable. Such as:

if (something1 > 5 /*
    */ and something2 == 2 /*
    */ or something 3 != "hello") then
// ...
endif
