[Trigger] Item Problem

Ive been trying to make a ring that, when acquired, adds 5% of the maximum hp to a unit so they would have 105% of their total hitpoints instead of the usual 100%.
This applies to all units on the map owned by the player that has the item.
I'm not really sure how to make this and all i have so far is:

you will probably need jass for this because Blizzard did something like this in one of their maps except it was a spell that temporarily increased their max hp. You can probably somehow edit that code and make it permanent and activate when a hero aquires that certain item.

What if you were to do something like for every 10 health add 1. That way it is kind of like a %.

Yeah that would be viable but I have no understanding of how to do that :(
I'm still not crash hot with a fair amount of the GUI triggering system.
