Item Cooldown not showing

When I have an item that has both an active ability (e.g. Roar, or any other spell), and a stat+ ability (e.g. item Hero Stats (+3 Agility)), when I use the item, you can't see the cooldown (normally shown by a circle going round once).

Am I doing something wrong, or do I have to do something special for this to work, I'm sure it's possible, so +rep for anyone who could tell me

My guess would be to change 'Stats - Cooldown Group' to the spell you are using. You should also make sure that the cast ability is the first one in the ability list.

yes, any castable skill on items (i.e spell shield, summon unit etc) must be put at the first of the list in the skill value.

Like for example you have a mantle of intelligence that adds 3 intel and an additional spell shield.

The skill has to be arranged as

Spell Shield
Item Intelligence bonus (+3)

that way the cooldown will show
