Item ability that increases melee attack range

Well I had this sword attachment where i could attach it to the villager but the problem is i want the item to have an increase attack range ability.

Nah, there's no ability for that... but there are some workarounds via triggers... you'd probably wanna use the "Passive Hero Transform" technique for this... look for it

You can use "Long Rifle" upgrade for ranges.
And use dummy to research it via trigger.

If you use long rifles upgrade for sword attachment, you can't decrease range back after your unit has dropped sword.Try adiktuz's way.

Yeah... using the long rifle is only for permanent range bonuses and not for dynamic ones
