Hmm.. I can't think of any programs that'll teach you how to play guitar. Could you explain what you mean by "use a mic etc."?.

I myself use Guitar Pro for tab purposes. It's nice for playing along with the tab

well theres been a few that uses the mic to listen to you're music and tell you what you hit wrong and etc but i havent been able to find any that dont come with a guitar...

What goes for me there's only one disadvantage about Guitar Pro. A slight compatibility problem. Sometimes when you try to open a tab it says that the tab requires Guitar Pro 3 (currently using version 5).
