is it only in Brazil that Marxism Culture is the majority in the institutions of education?

Hello everyone.

I'm here to discuss theme of topic. And also discuss about politics and also to know if in other countries the institutions of education are mostly occupied by people of left ideology?

This was one of the bad legacies, coming from the military dictatorship that had in Brazil from 64 to 85. To the feeling of who is right labeled as racist, homophobic, etc. Being that the right is not it. The current president of Brazil, publicly declared to fight against the maximum culture in the institutions of education. For me, the part he is correct, because our country needs a balance of opinions.

The left and the right have good intentions, but being in the monopoly of one is bad I think. Example is United States where parents have save a whole life money for their children to study in a college. In Brazil, it is opposite the majority of the children of rich study public college, salary depending of job, much greater in the public.

I am center-left, people are more important. But companies are important too. I believe that capitalism regulates by the state, and a good state to be closer to the ideal is good quality life for majority (offering education, health and security of free, etc). Since some people seek to suffer, or to do evil things, unfortunately.

Even though I have never personally met europe, I use it as a reference. Some country balanced in capitalism and in the social. Instead of the United States.

It is a fine line to walk. Go too far to trying take from the rich and give to the poor and you end up making things worse, like Venezuela. Corbyn and Sturgeon here in the UK think Venezuela is a role model lol.

Ultimately governments should focus on areas that are important to people but naturally neglected or exploited to make profit. For example protection (making sure public do not have easy access to guns), health, conservation, pollution, welfare, security, transportation, communication, etc. They should not be trying to do stuff like stealing from people or forcing prices.

Little you is misconception, the Bolsonaro speaked without much measuring the consequences (or opposite of the politically correct). Almost no party supports him, yet he has won. Random people from any age range, made contributions to him. No doubt he will be in history more than a president. Although he spoke a lot of bullshit. There are things that I agree with him, and the Brazilian State needs many reforms, if not perhaps happens as Venezuela.
About environment, I agree it is valuable. But to inform you, it is very exaggerated and at the same time incompetent laws and mechanism of environmental protection.

Here you can hardly cut a pine tree, even with the guarantees that you will plant another or even more.

But generally if the wealthy didn't waste so much money on heated pools 24/7 12 months a year, and instead put that money towards feeding the homeless, raising quality of food, and stopping crime; it might be a better place. Other things too like cutting back on all the smart technology, streaming NetFlix (there was a time you were considered crazy for even downloading a 500MB file on the internet, now people stream 20GB movies daily), excess YouTube nonsense and social media; would all help the economy.

Sadly the working class is often paid bum checks in countries that are rich through some means, such as oil-rich countries. The oil money all goes to the aristocratic higher society and they don't use it well.

Isn't Marxism the perspective that politics is about social class?

In Cuba, the Tourist Peso coin is worth so much more than the standard Peso, that people with Master's Degrees in Medicine and Law, rocket science, etc. all prefer to wait tables in tourist hotspots as the coin is worth more on the street than the money they're making.

I much prefer the capitalism of Brazil, some European countries and the United States. What "false" communist / socialist (except China) countries adopts. People in segregation by political influence, family, friendship, etc while most of the people in poor quality of life. Even in Cuba it has the rich, these are the people in the segregation.

I heard from my cousin, who knows a Cuban who is working here in Brazil. He told my cousin, who has to be corrupt to live there. What the government pays, not even for a meal, had to divert the money to pay rent.

In my conception to combat the rich, the instruments are the taxes by proportion (ie who has more money paid plus tax) and good application of these in society.

Well, I believe that to be a trend in most of the major population centers in the western civilization. Before the current stream of right-wing reactionism, the last time there were prominent right-wing leaders was back in Reagan/Tatcher's days. Ever since, most of what took place was the refinement of the left-wing culture that is so mainstream nowadays. That refinement reflects a process that takes place both in the society and in the academic world. Therefore, it is inevitable for most of universities to at least lean towards the left.

It's everywhere, and slowly seeping into Perú as well but not just the Communist-Marxist scum and identity politics ... but the lack of values and virtues as well, conformism and mediocrity, corruption and unprofessionalism in all spheres of public services, rise of organized crime, and the 'stupid' Government pushing up for laws and referendums on the masses who don't read, who won't bother finding out what the new laws will do, and prefer to be explained either by the media, "influencers" and "experts", and even viral memes.

Spoiler: Let me share with you a personal example:

I'm 32, have 2 jobs as a doctor and medicine professor. I studied Medicine in the local private university I currently teach at. Back in the early 2000s our professors were strict (not militarized type but still) and often encouraged us to read, practice, and learn. To conquer challenges at the hospitals as well which gave you confidence and character, especially in the internship year and when they (the State) sent you to a rural or marginal community to work there as the local doctor for over a year.... ohh the stuff I lived xD.

Half of my classmates were women; hell my mother herself is a doctor who has achieved great accomplishments here and outside the country by her own merit. Never in my time at med school did I ever hear a single thing about muh feminism, oppression, patriarchy, gender ideology, and the only protest I was ever a part of was when they expelled an excellent Pharmacology professor who wouldn't let a terrible student pass the semester (some rich doctor's daughter, who was also a friend of the founder... who happens to be a politician -.-') ... This curiously took place during my final year by 2008.

The lovely thing my mentors taught us about the career we'd chosen is that... Society doesn't (and won't) give a shit about what you are: man, woman, straight, gay, bi, rich, poor, red, yellow, blue, orange, etc... The one and only thing they'll want/expect from you by the time you finish your career is that you're perfectly capable of attending ill people, coming up with the right diagnosis and best treatment options with the best of your ability, help them recover and prevent them from getting sick, that's it.

Things, however, changed a lot in the 2010s and for the worse I fear.
Students no longer read, nor they wish to. Universities like my own only care for the money they'll be getting from new students applications and their admission tests are a complete and utter joke. These kids can't even read, their orthography is horrendous which is something I often joke to them telling them "Guys, it's socially acceptable for doctors to have horrible caligraphy... but never in hell for us to suck at orthography".

So what happens when you get students lacking basic skills (or true interest in learning) attending Med School? A lot of terrible students who fail misserably, where an ever-growing bunch of them often use identity politics whenever reasoning fails as they make up excuses for their own failure or decide to lie (by omission) at higher places, claiming victimhood... And hell, I'm using the term 'kids' lightly, some of them are older than me

Pretty much summarizes what I mean .... Hell I've had students telling me I gave them failed grades "because they're different", and parents asking me or my colleagues "why are we forcing their kids to read too much", "is it because of their religion" and stuff like that.

I've had a few really dumb fucks plagiarize (or attempt rather) old expositions form past semesters but fail utterly for the silliest reasons, and it's always the same... They come up with an excuse to claim victimhood (Too many exams, not fair, I have personal problems but the professor doesn't care because I'm "X", etc).

But perhaps this example doesn't sound very convincing to you, or linked to cultural marxism. Worry not, I'll use a much better example.

So I have a sister, 9 years younger than me and while I've always had a more conservative attitude she's always been more liberal.

As I said, I studied at a local university, it was private yes, but also modest compared to others back then and Medicine was among my prefered choices for a career (not to mention it guarantees you a job when you finish). My sister, however, had other things in mind, for she wanted to go to the capital and learn at an expensive private university her godfather teaches at (my uncle, who's always been a socialist to the point of hilarity). She would not learn medicine since she hated it, but choosed some sort of literature major.

Guess what happened several years later? (No, no dyed hair thank God). She visited my father at one time who invited us for lunch at a fancy place, and at some point the whole conversation devolved into her ranting about privilege and socialist dribbles. And then she uttered those three words... yep, I'm sure you'll guess which ones I mean.

The absolute madness that surged through my veins at that moment. The very same words I've seen in YT and other media, over there in the US, Canada, and Europe being repeated right in front of me.

Dear sis, first of all, none of us are Caucasians, we may have a much lighter skin-tone but we're still mestizos. Second, who do you think is more privileged?
Me? born with these characteristics? or you, a province girl in her early 20s studying Literature at a caviar university in the Capitol with your mommy's, daddy's, and hell even your own brother's money, ZERO scholarship, and living alone at your own 2-floor apartment bought by our mother located right in front a massive mega-mall? She's still left-leaning nowadays, going on marches and the like but not as much as it was 3-5 years ago,
Thankfully, she is and has always been a very responsible student, which is a relief.

With the way things are going nowadays, you do need to pick a side. No extremes, of course, not only does it cause needless trouble but often gives a chance to the spread of misinformation by the opposing side, who do it gladly to further their agenda. In the end, whatever alignment befits you, just don't let it influence you wrongly into treating others poorly. This may sound a little 'contradictive' in the minds of some but it really isn't: I work at a hospital and have my own set of political ideas and beliefs, I just won't let them pull me away from providing equal services to people (a.k.a. being a professional).

You guys have Bolsonaro now, so take good care of him.
Hopefully, it will be good and productive for your country and inspire others to do the same.

Minor edit: you guys mentioned Cuba. I personally never have visited the countries but my mother (a doctor) did. She summarized her experience as: seems like, as a tourist, they'll let you walk only through the nicest / fanciest areas. The clinics are nice and all, but you'll never see any poor people in them. People in the street want to beg you for money or goods, but can't since it's outlawed.

What you said a lot I already felt. I am a balanced person, both in the political aspect and how to act. Although, my OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) makes me act behave conservatively in some aspects like hygiene products such as hygienic paper, shampoo, etc which is good. I like technological innovations like games, solar energy, etc.

From what they told me of pension reform the Bolsonaro. One more act of his that I do not like, passed sacrifice to the people with less purchasing power. Maintaining this ideology of Giant State of Brazil, not affecting the privileges of the Judiciary, the Politicians and great tax evaders.

In Brazil they are trying to approve a law that prohibits party ideological indoctrination in educational institutions. Because educational institutions has excess Marxism.

Since people are able to improve their lives, they are blaming X ethnicities, etc. I think stupidity and racism.
I think no suport X such, to make the European ethnicity have conquered the whole planet. They did it on merit. Great inventors and scientists have achieved their achievements by efforts, etc for humanity. That tells the history. That's is one motive why most Communisms (I think China is the mixture of the two systems, capitalist and communist) did not work out.

Politically correct has good intentions, and I use your ideology. But I have little fear, that can be used for it passes from the point and destroys some important values like the limited freedom of expression, etc.

I saw the images of the classroom. And I think that this inversion of values was not good. My parents told of their childhood and adolescence, which was in the military dictatorship. That they had to strive at school, or if they did not, take a punished for not striving. My parents worked very new, my mother was 14 years old, and my father I not remember age. But that did not affect them negatively, in fact it was even positive as appreciation, etc. Nowadays my mother has graduated in 3 areas: Law, Letters (language work such like portugueses teacher, translator, etc) (Portugueses and English) and Tourism. And she works as a lawyer. My father was a mason's assistant to the lawyer today.
