Does anybody know the path to the Invoker model for Dota? I have been trying to find a solution to it for ages.

I have tried

Textures/HeroBloodElf.blp but that doesn't work.

I tried the Texture\Hero_BloodElf.blp but it didn't work.

That is NOT what I wrote. Open the regular Bloodmage model in Magos, go to textures, import the Bloodmage texture you want, apply it to the materials that use it, and save it f.ex. to your WC3 main folder.

Example

I don't think DOTA shares their custom skin to the publicity.
So you can't find it.

Yeah, like many custom maps, DOTA maps are secured. You can open them in any MPQ editor, but won't find anything useful.

Please clarify what you are looking for. I'm stuck wondering if you're looking for the path for the Blood Mage model, or the texture, the custom texture used on the Blood Mage model to represent Invoker in DotA or a way to replace the Invoker's model, or texture, in DotA.

The usual texture replacing won't work, as Icefrog imported a custom texture into his map with the standard texture path. So, simply replacing that file won't work as long as you don't change the map itself.
Actually, you can replace it. What do you think the 'Skins' section is for? It's for textures for the in-game models (Mostly) and if you want duplicate models, then you'll have to change the materials with your custom texture in Magos. DvO is right, your forgot the 's'.

If I hear it correctly according to I3lackDeath, the OP wants to use a custom Bloodmage/Kael skin on the DotA map itself via the Allow Local Files regedit trick, but it doesn't work due to the map itself using a custom resource of the same path.

Icefrog's map does NOT use a custom texture path to its imported skin, that's why you have to edit the standard model YOURSELF so it looks for a different path.
