importing a .rar model

i know how to import mdx/mdl models but when i do the same for a .rar model it does not work.

You'll have to extrat the zip file .rar then import the model as an mdx/mdl.

rar is not the extension for model, mdx or mdl are the ones. Like Warseeker said you should extract the contained model files first before importing the model files.

You must extract the contents of the rar archive.

You can install software such as WinRAR, 7-Zip, PeaZip... to do so:

The .rar format is an archive format. The .blp format is a texture format. There are no similarities between them at all, much like how a hammer is not at all like a screw driver.

Extract the content of the .rar file using 7-Zip (open source, free) and then import the contained mdl, mdx and blp files.
