Imported Pic Siz way to big?

I got 2 imported pics that are 300 somthin Kb each. And I think I already compressed them. Is this the usual size? or are they way to big?

Why, are you having problems getting them to properly show up in game, or in the editor?

No I'm not having any problems like that...I just want to know if thats usually how big they are. cause 300kb is alot for a map isn't it? especially if theres multiple pictures.

You can compress the quality of picture by converting it to BLP in wc III image extractor and then lowering the quality when you save it and then converting it back, that should make the picture be lower in filesize.

The picture you see in my avatar is around 270KB or so...

Yes, they are that big.

Frost, his talking about blp format, not jpeg.

I suggest you use wc3viewer to set the compression level, u may lose quality as stated. Goodluck.
If that doesnt work, then resize the picture to drastically reduce the kb(may make it blurry)
