Is there a way of importing everything at once, but not replacing my custom items?

i am trying to import a whole spellpack

Depends on everything. If you want to import the abilities, triggers, buffs and units, but not items, then no, you must export them each separately and import them separately, but it will save your items. Or, you could simply replace the files using an MPQ editor, but it is advised you know what you're doing to do that.
