Just as the title suggests, Images withing the Hidden tag should not be loaded, since images would still eat my whole bandwidth! (Sorry for living in a third-world country!, but I have a very limited quota!).

I have browsed in hive, and by far, it is the most bandwidth eating website in my list of browsed websites!

I have noticed it is not caused by the amount of images that I loaded, it is because of the images within the "Hidden" (Which is usually a very large image!), that eats around 2mb of my bandwidth each that I didn't even see..! :goblin_cry:

I plead this to be implemented, like what's the point of making it hidden right?.

Thank you.

That is not the purpose of the hidden tag, nor is there any direct way to do what you suggest with HTML.

You can, however, disable images altogether in your user control panel under Settings & Options -> Edit Options -> Thread Display Options -> Visible Post Elements.
You can also disable signatures and avatars, which is always a great thing to do.

Something that can be implemented quite easily is an image-quality selector somewhere in the control panel, and multiple copies of every uploaded image will be made for the different qualities (e.g. by using ImageMagik)...but this requires someone to make it (and takes more memory on the server, approximately 33% more to be exact).

it uses img tag, then make the tag not functional within hidden form.

I have used invision before, idk abt vb, but custom tag functions are not hard to create. or simpler way, use java to create a system that only downloads the codes within a hidden tag when the open hidden button is clicked? (put them on the header of the board, so the javascript works before everything is processed, and removes the hidden contents.)
