Verizhian Dawn
So I got this idea for an Altered Melee, where there are 4 main factions.
Background Lore (The War)
They year is 1673 AH. After the death of the conqueror Aminef of the South, the world stands at the crossroads. Former alliances are tumbling, new nations rise from the ashes of revolution, as the world enters a new era of innovation and chaos. Only time will tell, who survives the grand chaos, and who will thrive in this new era.
The Factions :
Rosvoltaz - "Vire Veis!" (Long Live God!)
Once the premier nation within the Western Continent of Miralis, Rosvoltaz has fallen to instability as the Monarchy has been deposed. The once ruling House of Rosif has been driven out, and in its place a squabbling Republic. Now with the threat of war with the Fostbloc in the North and the Koltis Front in the south, Rosvoltaz is at a crossroads, either to sue for peace, or to risk collapse.
Gameplay Mechanics
The Fostbloc - "Foe Klimskev ust Vhonis, Fostia Krons!" (From Klimskiev to Vhonis, Fost Rules!)
The North approaches. The Fostbloc, a union of 7 Fohenist Republics that rallied under their shared ideology. Now, with their new power and control, they seek to unite the rest of Miralis under their banner. The Blue Tide has come for the South.

Koltis - "Mon Atestas Ede Ibis" (Money Rules the World)
The Mercantile fleets of Koltis rule the seas. Their peninsula serves as an economic powerhouse, with banks who's reach extends even to Austrovis, and Ports whos fleet's reach even Motovia. Now, with the collapsing Rosvoltaz north of them, they seek to bring more lands to their economic fold. The time for war has come, and the Fleets are ready.

Motovia - "Ifur Tils Blot" (Iron Tills Blood)
The Archipelago of Motovia, once the capital of the Gran Mossovian Empire, now stands as an isolated state, keeping the last remnants of Mossovian Technology with it. Once, their armies ruled Miralis and Sofis, now their own legions hide in the Archipelago, scared. Nostalgia has broken the will of the Motovian peoples. But now, with the new era coming, they have a chance to regain lost glory. And they will not waste it.

This is merely a basic concept, and I would appreciate suggestions on changing Gameplay Mechanics, what special units to add, etc.
Also some more ideas for factions im still working on the concept for :
Vonkaria -
In the northeastern continent of Otalis, lies the Vonkarian Empire. From its capital Vieta, it controls the Strait of Hemmos, bringing it great wealth. However, in recent years Koltis forces had siezed the mouth of the Strait and established colonies on Vonkarian land. Now, Vonkaria launches a reconquista, to drive out the Koltis Menace, and retake their land.
(I dunno bout their gameplay mechanics)

- Rosvoltaz focuses more on speed and range, with long distance Electric Artillery, and fast Planes to rule the skies.
- Economy Buildings are less powerful
- Factories take longer to produce units compared to other Factions

- The Fostbloc focuses more on Infantry and Quantity, utilizing numbers to win
- Fostbloc Infantry are much more tankier than other units

- Koltis has powerful navies, with warships that can bombard their opponents from sea
- Koltis Economy Buildings are much more powerful, producing more Coins
- Koltis also can hire units to supply armies quickly

- Motovia has more of a focus on Machines, with powerful land vehicles and mechs
- Their infantry is mediocre alone, but supported by Motovian Exosuits can be a threat to any enemy in the battlefield.
- Their structures are more tanky, and have self defense capability
