To be clear, anyone who owns an original copy of both Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne from the past can use their keys to download the latest version of the game through Battle.net. The only downside is that you won't be able to use the HD graphics, unless you bought Reforged as well.

As of 1.30.2+ (iirc), one ONLY needs ROC keys, as it comes with TFT by default, in order to play the game on the latest patch with the old graphics.

For some reason, Battle.net has a problem where, even if you have already claimed free copy of the game through ROC keys, the application only shows the option to "purchase Reforged" instead of actually downloading the normal client. In this case, log in to the account page (Frank had already posted a small instruction regarding this matter) using your preferred web browser, click on "Games & Subscriptions", and scroll down until you'll find the section called "Classic Games". Next to the codes is a small option called "Download", which gives you the Setup file to download and install the latest patch of the game. When the game is fully downloaded and installed, Battle.net app will show the "Play" button on Warcraft III section (you can find this on the left pane).
