i need help making icons

i got icons for a site and when i import the icons in the editor it said the type is other. how can i change the type of it...

Have you extracted the icon from the zip file? An Icon in "other" type is not possible. Make sure you extract the icon from the zip file with WinZip.

for everything else i import thats now wc3 stuff its saids other

Well I would need more details... I can't really understand where is the problem... just download the icon from the site, unzip it, and import it into the editor. After, close the editor and re-open your map. And the icon should be working...

1. Is it .blp format?
2. Does it have the BTN, DISBTN, PASBTN, DISPASBTN before the name? Example: BTNNameofMyIcon

GIP image? Well I didn't understand that quite well.... I can't see whats your problem; to make an icon just use the WC3viewer to convert the format of the icon you extracted to .tga, then you edit it on photoshop, and when you're done, convert it again to .blp! What's so difficult? :? :? :?
