I can't open war3 model editor

I had the same problem, I thing 2 month ago.

This is a directX file. Go to Microsoft, download the newest directX version - install it - restart your computer - and try it again.

If it doesn't help and you still got this error massage, just download this .dll file from http://www.dll-files.com/ and put it into the system folder of Windows.

Second idea is the better one

Just to make it clear: The system folder in this case is NOT the system32!!!
The dll file has to be in the c:\windows\SYSTEM folder!

Otherwise it won't work

still not working.... I put it in C://windows/system and this happens:

Thanks for that post on the WC3 model editor, i had the same problem.

I've placed the dll file in the same folder as the model editor software and it works fine there.

But i have a problem with this tool,too....i get an error message about splatdata.
I tried all staff mentioned but nothing worked.Any ideas?I have windows XP.
