I cannot open an unprotected map?

I'm rather new to mapping myself, but I ran into a problem when me and a friend tried to take over a project.

It IS unprotected. A couple other people we asked COULD open it open WE, but we cannot seem to. It was also originally created using World Editor.

If you patched everything, you're probably trying to open a protected map. Or a map that you failed unprotecting...

I believe that map used world editor unlimited because you get that error when you open weu maps with normal editor. You can give me the map and ill try to open it with world editor unlimited.

Mmm...

I thought that might be the problem, but it doesn't explain the 2/5 people that can open the map.

Also, uh, WEU doesn't seem to work for me..

IIRC, WEU is not compatable with the last two patches of Warcraft 3, so you'll need to re-install and only download up to... 1.20, I think.

Kind of inconvenient, but I don't know of any other way to fix it, sorry.

It's just that 2 others with 1.21b can work it...

Edit: and it IS unprotected. It was NOT originally mine, but it IS unprotected. Hence why 2 others can open it.

Needs WEU. It can not find that that GUI trigger action exists as only WEU has it.

Well that version is made in WEU or uses custom actions.

All I can say is make sure WE is up to date (so is WC3 TFT). That is the only other possiable reason.

Both should be 1.21b.

It comes with your WC3 updates.

If the map only has minor WEU triggers then get someone who CAN open it and make them delete all WEU triggers but no telling how many triggers are advanced or WEU events/conditions/actions.
