How to make black flakey particles?

I made these black flakes by using Clouds8x8.blp and setting the mode to transparent, tinted all black. But the problem is It doesn't show up in-game, It only shows up in magos. Any way I could get this cool effect to work in game?

I think transparent texture don't show ingame. Try other kind.

tried that, and it makes it smokey instead of flakey... If transparent particles dont show up in the game, then whats the reason for the mode transparent?..

It is used for models themselves, but not particles.

I think you should try a blend one with a "capsule" of Alpha one, maybe you get the cool effect you want.
