I am having major problems hosting with vista. At my dads, i use a XP, and i already configured my hosting and it works perfectly. I do the EXACT same thing with my vista and nothing, i dont know whats wrong, i currently use a Linksys WRT110 and ive done the following

+configured ports 6112-6119 Protocol type: both
+Disabled windows firewall
+Made a static IP address
+Disasbled "Filter internet traffic"

I dont know whats wrong, i do the exact same stuff as i did with my XP

NVIDIA makes firewalls? Good lord I thought they were a graphics and motherboard company...

When you install the software for some of the NVIDIA's motherboards (maybe graphic cards too, I'm not sure), it installs a firewall that basically does nothing but causing trouble.
I had it before, removed it, after that I could host perfectly.

Eh I wouldn't blame vista, go ahead and put in the exceptions for the ports in your firewall, it doesnt need to be off, just put in te exceptions for the ports

I have the same router and premium and basic Vista hosting is fine, theres no weird compatibility issue unless its not a great PC

i already got it fixed, it had to do with my Trend Micro virus protector
