How to convert .m3 to .mdx or .mdl?

Short answer? No I'm afraid not.
Long answer? No, I'm afraid not and there may not ever be, I have however, heard that a select few have managed to convert .mdx/.mdl TO .m3 (the other way around to that which you desire). So I wouldn't say "never", but currently no there isn't (that I know of).

There is as I have seen a ported StarCraft II Battle Cruiser in WarCraft III.
