[Spell] How do I make a spell that takes 10 minutes to complete?

Channel. It doesn't do anything, literally.

Do be aware that 10 minutes in preparation phase of casting is a usability nightmare. You will want to make sure that it cannot be interrupted without killing the caster. Or if it can, then the owner can do other stuff in the mean time to keep himself from being bored.

10 minutes is a large amount of your session length.
