How do I make a gun from my inventory shoot by clicking it?

Pretty much what the title says. I need help on making a gun shoot when I click it in the inventory, then click the target. Every time I try to use the gun, it won't even display the "Left Click to Use" message, so clicking it does nothing. Also, if y'all can help me make an "Ammo as Lumber" type of thing, where Lumber counts as Ammo, and items like ammo clips from my inventory increases it, yet when the lumber is equal to zero, the pistols will not shoot, that would be most helpful. It's because you removed the ability from the item. Use "Channel" with Follow through time = 0, Options -> Visible, Target Type -> Unit Target, levels 1. In the Item, don't forget to tick "Actively used".
