how bad are sanity warnings?

I'm using a model I downloaded from here and it seems to be working fine in game. When I saw it wouldn't open in RMS, I checked and saw it has a boatload of sanity warnings, but no real errors. if it works in game, should it still be fine to use? what are the risks here? how bad is a little insanity?

A lot of these errors mostly just bloat the model's size and might just have issues with selection, camera, clipping and rendering.
Although one cannot expect much from a ported model.
