Aha. Very funny. Icons\Skins\Mdoels don't do that. It's the map size. Also I think amount of triggers, units. Hmm. Also all the destructables, doodads. I think. Like in World of Warcraft Reborn, the map. If you were to make it just the terrain. I think, THINK, it would load a lot faster. I THINK!

Yeah i think the same also in the world editor of warcraft3, it loads all the doodads, triggers, units and so one... so i think warcraft3 load the same things in the map. more units, doodads, mapsize ----> longer wait for load. but i have also imported many units i have a map with a size about 4mb and it loads fast... because the mainly problem are the triggers and mapsize :)

I THINK you are wrong!
I did a test:
I made a verry big map with max doodads and max units and manny Models and Icons!
than i looked at the mapsize: i dont remember the number but it was verry high!
than i opened the map with a MPQ-editor and i removed ALL TEXT in ALL FILES that are the map - not the imported files!
result:
the mapsize was nearly the same!

Thats why i THINK the most of the mapsize are the imported files!

If your waiting for map to load, and its almost done, about 92%, does it stay there for awhile? im almost positive thats when the doodads/mapinit is being loaded. So if you used less map initi, it may reduce map loading time by the amount of triggers use it. Just a thought tho.
