In all honesty, it looks like you sharpened the fuck out of it. making it look honestly so bad >.<
Its a cool concept and all, but its really not that great of an execution. try to avoid using sharpen filters to try and achieve detail. It may make it less blurry, but it makes it look so messy in the process.

This is awesome! For me its gonna be like a normal hippogryph, but once upgraded (like the obsidian statue) it can morph into a phoenix 5/5 works perfectly as far as I can tell!

Stronger difference between the red and yellow colors will make that fiery effect stand out even more. Just look at the original phoenix - it's all in red, orange and yellowish colors, with a smooth transition between them.
