When adding temporary abilites such as evasion or anything really, is there a way to hide the spell icon on the hero to make it look more professional.
One partial solution to hide icons is to create a "blank" icon: a pure black 64X64 .blp file and apply it to the field value Art - Interface Icon. You must also edit the fields: Text - Tooltip Basic and Text - Tooltip Extended to show nothing in those fields. Even then some traces may remain.
To the best of my knowledge the only way to completely hide an icon or buff is to place the ability inside a disabled spellbook.
Do you mean that it is there but you can't see it? If so, find or make an item version of your spell and then give it to the hero, through triggers or whatever. That is what I find is normally told to people.
