HeroArchNecromancer.BLP

A new version of my old acrhnecromancer's skin:
"This is my ArchNecromancer skin created for my cinematic project ,,The Forgotten Heroes". Archnecromancers are elite undead casters able to create legions of unholy creatures.

The skin was made using GIMP, so sorry for its quality (it's also fault of my bad skills)

Nearly whole horse was made manually (except of hair). Other parts are combination of freehand, CnP and recolor.

Give credit if u use it. Don't modify it without my permission.

Tell me if u find anything which needs fixing"

New version have those things changed::
New hooves and flames above them and on the tail
Some shadowing changed, some added
Changed horse's robe and armor recolored
New details on archnecromancer's clothes
New medallion of archnecromancer
some parts made invisible
New beard and hair
other lesser changes

UPDATE1:
Only a small change:
eyebow color changed from blond to grey
I don't change the screen cause it's really small change :D

UPDATE2:
ok: hooves and chain changed to look more dark and evil
New robe of archnecromancer painted and recolored some old changes from yellow to silver
This time new screenshot updated cause those changes are bigger

UPDATE3:
hooves changed again, this time inspired by deathcharger's hooves from WotLK
new horse's tail
Redisgned and redone back of horse's body
Added shading and other details to archencromancer's skin
changed neck a bit
lesser changes

UPDATE4:
ok I promised to wait until moderator gives his review, but I'm very interested in your oppinions about new hooves and legs.
Changes:
new hooves and legs (lol again)
tail changed

UPDATE5:
fixed color of hair on horse's neck
changed armor on horse's back

UPDATE6:
fixed Archnecromancer's legs
changed horse's front armor

UPDATE7:
removed border around the hooves to prove that there is no CnP (it existed cause i painted new hooves on the old version and didn't remove this part)
armor on the back pack made 100% freehand

UPDATE8: changed areas:
- pants
- robe
- horse's tail

SPECIAL THANKS to Misha for some really great ideas what to change. Thx Misha :)

While I don't see no actual CnP parts, I wish that you could add some highlights and contrast on the Mage's robe and pants. And the horse's tail needs some contrast as well.
You have 10 days.

EDIT: Changes has been made, so I'll approve it.

I don't like it :|. Sorry, but no. I would ratter use a renegade wizard as model.
I like the clothes you gave, but i don't like his face and the horse's feet.

it is nice... altho you could remove those ribbs near legs and leg bones back, that really ruins the model if you ask me. =/ instead you can add a similar thing that is on front legs of the horse. yeah you can keep ribs, but only on stomack area, not where the hips are =3

and as for teh wizard, it could use a bit more shading on sleeves 8)

good input?

Ok, Misha I'll work on it. Do u think I should also remove leg bones from area above back legs?

Yeah, u were very useful. Thanks:wink:

the whole back leg\hip bone area is wrong wyou should mask that with armor as on front. (looks cool :3) maybe if you do some neck bones on the horse? it looks kinda unreal atm xD

and hooves should catch some detailing... not just the color >=3

Hmm I'll try with those bones on neck but if my memory doesn't fail me there can't be done a lot with that cause this wrap of the model is bad:cry:

Well i gave up with those hooves. I just can't improve them more

sorry... i was actually refering to bones that connect the head and neck ^^;; the rest is fine ^^

of course you CAN rework the hooves. darken the actual toe/hoof part (better look at unedited version of mage for reference) and leave the color of leg =3

It gets better and better... The thing that needs improvement now is the color of feet. Come on, white legs? This is an undead horse... Apply some rotten texture or just make them grayish. If you make it I will rate this one 5/5.

why don't you detail the tail as you detailed the neck hair on the horse? oO it would fit good >=3

and also..... white legs, yes. white hooves....... no
draw the hooves and just the hooves, the toe ,nail,w/e part of the hoof. and shade it.

when you do that it should be good to go. 8) and also the beard could catch some sharpening. (you could also split it in two Via alpha channel)

Hmmm...

I may change the tail but be aware that it is hardly noticable in-game (u can check that if u want)

Hooves - i gave up... I just don't want to make hooves like usual horse's or death knight's horse's. I decided to make something original but i can do little more than i did.

About the beard - i'm afraid it might suck on the portrait however i can check it cause the idea is very interesting :) .

I don't promise any update and certainly no update before moderator's review (i hope that someone will finally do that ;) )

w00t? my review ain't enough? :D

about teh hooves.... do first normal ones, shade, then add some nice ornaments and voila... evil hooves. >=D (suggest back hooves and silver-green-ish metal ornaments wraping around from the "horseshoe"

i find your review quite... unprofessional. calling a skin like that after so much effort from the author >.< yet.. i agree with ya about the CnP =/

kael.. if you could somehow freehand the hooves and that back hip armor on the horse. the armour needs smaller chainmail.

one thing that would help you is to make the skin bigger by half, then draw all details, then shrink to original size and sharpen. this has worked for me ^.^

it IS 100% freehand! Where u can see CnP there? Those borders look like that cause i painted on the old version (however as u can see it doen't appear in-game :) )

Yes i was using this method do, but it's quite impractical for me cause i usually check everything in wc3viewer just after doing any change.

About the armor on back: yes i wanted to do that but finally i decided to keep to old version cause noone other noticed that. I'll improve that and if the deatils won't be lost in-game I'll upload:wink:

well make sure that you hide those borders because THE_END thinks they're CnP BECAUSE of that 8(

yes, inpractical, tedious, booring BUT IT GETS RESULTS 8)

well..... "noone other" includes me, THE_END, and all respected and sharp eyed people who can make or break the skin 8)

so... do as you're asked and draw smaler rings in the ringmail on the back hip of the horse

I realy think this look awsome. I think you could change the horse's neck though.. It looks pretty weird with a purple neck on a undead horse... Is it cloth or something? If so, you might need to shade it abit better. But i think i looks awsome anyways! 4/5 and +rep to you.

It's still not approved? How sad. I hope you satisfy moderators so they do it.

Yeah, massive CnP is a very bad thing so I hope you fix it and THE_END agrees to approve this skin. I really like it.
