I think the model editor has a html file which also tells the details about the program. I think it has 3 tutorials there ; burning avatar, team glow, and big sword?.
You need to look for the geoset that contains the hero glow. Look for the material that contains replaceable ID 2 with an additive material.
Then find the geoset that contains the material and delete it.
You may find it will warn you about bones, in which case, you may want to look for the bone the hero glow is attached to in mdlvis first. Remember to do this in a copy of the model tho as it might bastardize the normals of your model. Delete those bones if they are not used for anything else in magos in the node manager or unattach the hero glow vertices in mdlvis.
