Perhaps I could be of some assistance. 
Just one question, though: are you looking to add hero glow, or remove hero glow? I'm used to adding hero glow, but I'm sure I'll be able to remove it as well.

The hero glow is gone but the model itself uses team color.

Just curious is this possible to do with in game models? Without having to reinsert it?

Yes, there are a few ways but the best one is reimporting it...
