Hero Flashlights

Not sure if this has been asked b4 but...

...is it possible to remove the flashlight particle/attachment from the raynor/tychus/swann/stettman hero models (from tvalerian02a) through the data editor or triggers? or is it neccessary to edit the model itself?

i want to use their models but just without the flashlight effect.

i know that for raynor's model i can just use his alternate marine model (that uses a gauss rifle and has no flashlight), but i also want to use the other heroes. if possible, can you remove them, and also give them back to the model if say, the unit picks up an item?

my models don't have a flashlight so i guess it is connected with the ambient. just a guess, no time to try around, i justed opened map, placed those heroes, tested game and there was no flashlight.

btw another notd doesn't seem to be very clever since there are already 2 released and others probably in work like AM. you have to be very innovative to get players off those others notds to your one. there are hardly ppl to play those at all. i don't say this cause i work on another notd (stopped long time ago) just felt like telling.

Lighting doesn't show unless you're using a (i think) shader quality of medium or higher.

Force a graphics setting to remove all lighting and you'll get rid of them, otherwise you'll have to edit the model.

damn...i thought that there would be an easy way of removing the lights, since i kind of dont want to fixate the graphic settings or edit the models (im not sure if the latter is even possible atm without going to into complex stuff).

no offense to the authors, but i dont like the way the current SC2 notd is going.

the weapon system for example, is what i dislike the most; sure it means you get to alternate between what weapon youre using, but it sort of defeats the purpose of having different classes for their abilities AND their weapon specialisation (if you get what i mean, i.e doesnt make sense how a Heavy Support can use a sniper rifle or flamethrower, or a Sniper using an assault rifle and vice versa for other classes).

thats what made N2/AM unique to other types of survival maps that let you alternate weapons (S3MC for example); you need to pick what classes are useful for the team for their weapons, since some are high DPS, while others are high DPB.

i never said that i like the starcraft 2 notd. Notd:so has an higher quality than starcraft 2 notd (if you like the mission stuff), but i don't like the gameplay of both. just said that it will be hard for you to establish another notd.
