Hero class change

Ok ima try to make this as simple as i can. im trying to make a trigger where if a person buys a unit then it removes the original hero and gives them a new 1 like in battle ships but still keep the originals items.or mayb an item like in final fantasy where they have the job materia.

create the new unit, move the items from the old unit to the new unit, then remove the old unit from the game.

I've player FF7 but I don't know what you mean by job materia.
