[JASS] Hero Ability

Hello I just joined this community and I like it this place very much because its very well organized.
Now my question is how would I detect if the ability being cast is a hero ability? I have been trying to find it also searched at the commands in Jasscraft but couldnt find something...

You cannot detect that, and by the way, why you would? Tell me for what do you need that, theres maybe a way around!

Actually I wanted a series of actions to be executed every time a hero casts a spell but only a spell of his own not item spell for example. I surely can make for example checks if the ability being cast is from a certain list of abilities but since there are quite enough atm I was thinking if there was a smarter/more efficient way to do it.

If the hero has no unit abilities, you could check if the casting unit is a hero.

return IsUnitType( GetTriggerUnit(), UNIT_TYPE_HERO ) == true

However I'd experienced situations (weird, only sometimes it happens) in which items used will also execute Unit starts the effect of an ability events...
