[General] Hero Ability list

I was messing around with some custom Heroes last night and I ran into something that I'm not sure if I've ever noticed before.

The Problem: Basically, I have 7 hero abilities that I need my Heroes to be able to choose from but the editor and Warcraft only allows 5 to be added into the field.

I thought I was onto something when I used shift click and the Raw data for all 7, which allowed all 7 to be inserted into the field. Even though 7 are now in the editor only 5 show in game.

I realize the Unit Ability List allows more, but the Hero Ability List can only contain 5 as far as I can tell.

Am I missing something here?
Any suggestions?

No, it's a hard limit.

Bummer. Looks like I'll have to use Upgrades instead.

That makes me curious though, I wonder where that is hard coded and if it can be changed like many of the other things we've found over the years.

Its inside the game source code, Blizzard seems to make those limits for some reason.

You can use unit ability and a little dialog to utilize 7 spells (or even more, with Spellbook glitch) for (a) hero (heroes) to it's fullest extends.

That's very strange that Blizz would set that limit to 5. Thanks for the info guys.
