I was working on a map of mine, and I need some help. I want to be able to give a hero nine abilities to choose from, but I only want him to actually be able to choose 5 abilties over the course of his 25 level progression. I was wondering if there's some way of removing the extra ability choices after he's chosen 5, or blacking them out or something?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

how did you stuff nine hero abils onto one hero? the max amount of hero abils is five.
anyways, there's a way to do that with triggering but it's beyond my scope of, eh well triggering.

It's not that I have found a way to give a hero 9 abilities - I was wondering if there WAS a way to give more than 5 abilities. I haven't found a trigger that can give a hero a learnable ability, however.

Maybe make purchaseable spells? This (probably) wouldnt work in a multiple hero game. My idea is sortof like spellcraft but you just buy one item and it gives the spell. Though now that i think of it....you can level up that spell without buying multiple item copies. Hope this helps. If it didnt, i wouldnt be surprised.

well you could use a dialogue box but you'd have to A) take off the learned ability, and B) stop the dialogue box from appearing after 5 abilities are picked.
