Help ...

When ever i download a model and import it, i immediatly go to check if it works. i plug it in to a random unit, and it says it works. then i hit OK on the model file select, and its says .mdl at the end instead of .mdx. why is this happening, and it works for others but me?

.mdl and .mdx are pretty much the same thing. There are only very tiny differences.

but it does not pop up in game when it is .mdl

If the model has textures, then those textures should be renamed (You'll be instructed in the model information at the download page. The page gives you paths for each file)
