I have an ultimate that is Engineering Upgrade which should upgrade the other 3 spells when chosen. Now, it changes the learn variants (tooltips) correctly. Howerver, when you select them they revert to the normal spell. It's worth noting that the spells seem to be technically there, as the first upgraded spell is triggered and you can actually cast it on a target unit as intended, but the tooltip shows the basic spell. I also tried manually removing the base spells and it does nothing.
Format is correct i.e. spell 1, 2, and 3 all have it formatted (base spell, upgrading spell). There is no 4th spell so it was left blank and putting something in didn't change anything. No other by triggers are impacting it at all. At this point, I'll even take a method that shows the upgraded abilities unskilled once you pick the ultimate.
