HELP - question not resource

i'm not entirely sure where this goes so i'll request your help

i can't host on wc3, i have set the firewalls and stuff and i could host but a few months back a message comes up like 'too long filename or invalid characters' it happens everytime, anyone now who to stop this

It shoud work, if it doesnt. then your router isnt supported :/ mine isnt supported either.

i used to be able to host, but a few months back this started happening

and it happens with every map

lolz!! It's easy.. I know why. Because it has happend to me.
It's too long path for the map. That's why.

its not though i put a 4 character path name and it still happened

It's not the map path. the path for your wc3 game, and map. If you have it in C:/babalbalbalbl/blabal/blabal/alblabal/wc3/maps/downloads <--- Tooo long path
C:/blabal/balbal/wc3/maps/downloads <--- not too long path

i understand but it never used to happen and now it does

EDIT: it works i sorted out my maps and that made the filename to long

thanks warhunter, i put them in folders so i could find them easier but that must have made the filename too long
