[Trigger] Help needed in making a weapon system

Hi there, i am farely new to map making and have decided to start a new project. However it seems that i am already stuck. I have decided to make a system that if a hero picks up a certain item, his base attack damage changes and his attack type also changes. I have seen maps where this system has bee implemented however i cannot locate any of the maps now. Any help would be appreciated.
 
Whats the problem?! You told us what you were trying to make, and then you told us you ran into a problem. You didn't tell us what the problem was.

So if you don't mind....
