Hi am making a map, which requires alot of cutem skins and models, but I cant use skins or any models that need skins for example these 2

http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource.php?t=49325&prev=page=1&s=Demon&r=20&d=list

http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource.php?t=49754&prev=s=pandaren&d=list&r=20

The thing I think that isnt making it work is the custem path bit, (the bit how you would do a normal skin) every time i do it as guides say i get a green box instead, can any one please help me it would be a huge help.

this should be in the skin section, but you need to show the right path so the texture knows which model it belongs to.

Pit_Avelgoth2
units\pit\avelgoth\FILENAME'

Pandaren Building5
PandarenDoodad1.blp
PandarenDoodad2.blp

so most models will have you use the Textures\whatever.blp in this case you must import both the model and the skin, double click on the skin and change the line from wc3imported to Units\pit\blah blah. for the pandaren it will most likely take Textures\pandarendoodad1.blp so after you have set the paths you need to save and exit out of wc3 editor and get back in, it should now appear. if all else fails you need to convert the model to MDL using guessed's mdx converter in the tools section, then open the mdl in wordpad and check the texture paths in there.

if something does not show up its because the texture path is wrong. hope this helps, good luck.

Do i also have to do somthing to the models thing in object editor : Art - model, for the models that dont need skins i just custem and that works, do i need to do somthing diffrent for this for a skin?

the tool is right here
http://www.hiveworkshop.com/resources_new/tools/496/

to use your model you must put the correct path for the skin but you need to attach the model to an art file of an existing model. so replace a footman with what ever your models are. if you are still having trouble ill try to import the models. i hope that you are not editing the model in the import manager, just change the path on the blp.

as for models that do not need a skin, they use ingame textures, you don't have to worry about finding a path for them.
