It's been this way since Reforged dropped. Even dragging the viewport window to the entire vertical width of my screen does not get the model to stretch all the way to correct dimensions.
I suddenly figured out a workaround, after all this time! It seems to be based on the width of the entire worldeditor window. I can actually get it to display correctly if my whole window is super squashed horizontally like this.
