what do you call them?

That sounds kind of like gregorian chant.
It seems a little modernized though, perhaps there's another name for it.

Well there you go. It's considered New Age, and it's a made up language. The music is based on classical music, opera, and Gregorian chants, mixed with some "phat beats".
