Better than alright - this guy's better than you give him credit for. Maybe it's even playable. Probably not. It's extremely detailed, both in and out of doors, you have to give him credit for just the fine work. It is rather well made.

Outdoor is ... :/ Undetailed, flat, boring.

Eugh, for a strange reason, this feels more like a prison than a castle on the outside. Probably because of the campaign brick texture.

good hive terrainers can do far better then this... as void said it has no atmosphere, which terrainers like himself use to create truly beautiful pieces. Any idiot can make a scene look good with a premade pack of house/castle doodads...

The outdoor city terrain is simply outstanding to what i've seen before and it doesnt use a super unrealistic thick fog which most terrainers use.
I like the nice use of camera angles which shows pretty much of the enviroment yet hides parts of it.

He needs to learn the word "antialiasing".

Also he is too willing to show low resolution textures, instead of trying to discuise them to appear higher resolution.

Next to that, their are pretty detailed. He is obviously a deatiled terrainer and not a visual one.

What did you expect? Fog indoors?

Fog is used for lighting more than as actual fog. It is to reduce the sharpness and stuff of textures and to add some form of more real ligthning.

Nowdays you have dynamic lighting and blur to do that. WC3 does not support those as they are both DX9 while WC3 is DX8

Well, I can't say it's something special. It's a question of spending hours of raising doodads and I think anyone could do it if they were patient enough.
Also it doesn't have any good combination of doodads if you get what I mean.
