Giving Credits

I haven't really looked closely, but I know when nearly every author submits their work, they always say, please give credits blah blah etc. So why not just have some sort of built in feature that takes the authors name and appends a Credits message somewhere that can be seen when you are looking at that model.

You can just copy his name and set it into the your credits part. But maybe they can make it easier, it's also nice if it can save you some work .

Simply cause some people don't want credit.
Personally, i dont understand. When you made something, you made it.
But a 'Give credit?' Option would be preferable.

He means in the model section, there should be an option to say who to give Credits to.

But that's kinda redundant because it already says the name at the top of the model (i.e. The Hive Workshop Models: PuppetMaster by DonDustin)

I give credits to all.They deserve it even if they ask for non.I always put it in Quest under Credits.

Agreed. Still, a lot of people (usually people new to mapping) tends to forget crediting properly.

Y, I also do that. I only don't do it with icons in the exeption if I've many icons from 1 user (e.g. Crazy Russian).

Well i make credits for models, skins and for icons.Oh and for special credits.

I always claim credits for my work ...
even though some guys forget it ... The map mods should really check on those.
The fact that i claim my credits is just like a reminder and somee people just don't want credits so .... I do it to make certain things clear.
