I'm trying to setup a custom button, and since I couldn't find any tutorials about how to do this, I opted to look in another map to see how they did it instead.

This one I was looking at, the author had copied the Summon Sea Elemental spell, and set all its properties to do nothing, and, finally, intercepted the use of this button with triggers.

So I've tried this on my map, and can't seem to change this in the Object Editor:
Data - Summoned Unit Count
At least, I can't set it to anything less than one.

a basic trick in WE is pressing the SHIFT key while double clicking the parts you want to change in the object editor.. this way you're allowed to enter negative amounts.. but I'm not sure if this works for the units you have to select, that are getting summoned later..

How about using another ability? Whenever i need some "non-effect" abilities, that I just need to start some kinda triggers.. I mostly use some self-buff spells.. like berserk.. removing all benefits from it, also the model and sounds.. just set everything to 0.. it works perfectly and easy.. try this =)

hmm, well i just used the war stomp ability, removed all art and sound, and set all values to 0 basically just like Tr!kzZ did.
just dont have a unit have 2 of the same dummy abilities, or have tthe same cooldown group, depending on wat it is, it could trigger both.
