Alright, next question

Does 'Gameplay constants - Gameplay - Can Deactivate Mana Shield' have any effect whatsoever? For anybody? Because it doesnt matter in my maps if I have it on True/False, Manashield is deactivatable.

Custom gameplay constants are on... Its a basic Manashield spell. I cannot find my mistake.

I just solved the problem by including a trigger. It orders the unit to activate it and instantly deactivates the ability for the AI afterwards.

It wasnt meant to be used by the player anyway, so screw it.

Really? So thats what NYI means. English isnt my first language, I had no idea. Dude, I've been trying to make that constant work for over 3 hours..

It just seemed strange. All the search results I found discussing that constant were like: "Blabla constant -> Oh thank you man, so helpful, etc."

So I figured it was my mistake. Turns out it wasnt. Damn I feel dumb right now.

@Dat-C3: Yeah it was meant for a bossfight and it really doesnt matter if its cheap scripting. I just turn it on and deactivate the ability upon initiation of the fight and recycle the whole process on the next try. Didnt know what I was getting in for when I started to design the fight with the Manashield in my imagination.

Well turning it on then off won't work very well, you can turn it on then disable it for the owning player to hide the ability icon.
