Game Error

Whenever I start a game I've noticed that every description is missing. Ability descriptions, Attack (function), Patrol (function), Stats (information), Items in inventory descriptions. I can't find anything in the hive forums that discusses what I did or if a file is missing in WC3. This problem is reoccurring during testing maps or simply playing games and is very frustrating.

Is this only a problem with your map? Or is it every map?

If it is a problem with your map or specific maps it is because a full screen filter is active. While a full screen filter is active all tooltip float hints are disabled. The full screen filter must be turned off/destroyed/disabled for tooltips to show normally. Do be aware that just because a full screen filter appears invisible does not mean it is not active, it is possible to have a completely transparent full screen filter. Full screen filters are commonly used to overlay images in front of the main view and will often fade away to be completely transparent before having to be disabled.

If it effects all maps then something must be wrong with the localized text files. Try reinstalling Warcraft 3. If it still does not work check out the 1.30 PTR in case the problem has already been fixed.

Thanks Dr Super Good. That worked perfectly once I turned off the filter. The tooltips are back.
