football!

hi. I'm making a kind of loap and i wanted to have football in it! but I'm not really sure how to go about this. i have made an arena... just raised the terrain around it. with goal posts, just raised terrain. i don't want anything super epic, nothing quite rubbish or something that will take a LONG time to get working properly. and all i can think of is something super rubbish. I was wondering if an experienced some1 with a light bulb above their head to help me out a little?

like how it should work (e.g, an item as a ball, an ability to kick it, how the triggers should be done, e.c.t)
