You'll have to make that as 1 model and make it fly (or place and raise height with Ctrl+Page Up/Down. In the Object Editor, you'll have to make it walkable. Remember that regions cannot be placed on it and the terrain and objects on it can't be changed unless you edit the model.

PS: you can't give reputation yet that adds reputation points. When you have 10 reputation points yourself, you can give reputation with reputation points. Read more about reputation in the Reputation thread. (should be somewhere here on THW)

ok
here it goes,
I know how to make a floating island THAT UNITS CAN WALK ON! :)

-look at pic #1, make those doodads, which ever one u like, there are different kinds. [only elevator switches will work.]

-look at pic #2, make it the size of the island you want.

-look at pic #3, select all of them , [click and drag over all doodads], then raise them, [CTRL+Page Up]

-look at pic #4 now the boxes are floating, ingame, when a unit moves under them, he will be moved on top of them and walk on them  [i made my own stair case this way ]
The problem with this is, then when he stands under it, he will be instantly moved up. so 'IF' you dont want that, and want him to teleport there, you can block it off with the doodad shown there.

-look ar pic #5 You can place other doodad on the side of the island [trees or rocks], select these, and copy them [CTRL+C] then press CTRL+V and place them UNDER the island where you want them,

[SHIFT and then place themto reduce their collation so they will fit in the doodad, but the player will still be blocked my them (cannot walk throught trees :) )]

then as they are already selected, raise them up [CTRL+PAGE UP]
You can decorate them however you want :)

Hope this helps
[NOTE: pressing CTRL+PAGE DOWN will bring doodads down
